Laser vs. GPS vs. hybrid
Laser rangefinders give exact distance to the flag; GPS units overlay the whole hole; hybrids combine both. Slope-adjusted distance is great for practice but must be switched off for tournaments. We factor all of this in.
Accuracy, features, and price
From sub-$150 value lasers to premium hybrids, we recommend a real current model matched to your priorities: with where to buy.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need slope on a rangefinder?
Slope-adjusted distance helps you club up or down on elevation changes and is great for practice, but it must be disabled for tournament play. Most modern units toggle it on and off.
Laser or GPS rangefinder?
Lasers are more precise to the pin; GPS is faster for overall layout and hazards. If you want both, a hybrid is the answer. Tell us your priority and we’ll match it.
